PS5 VS XBOX SERIES X



          PlayStation and Xbox  have officially announced that they will be releasing new consoles that will change the world of gaming. The two organisations are known to be leading the console market with others like Nintendo just tagging along. We are going to be comparing the PS5 to the Xbox Series X 

          The PlayStation official site revealed that the PS5 will be out on October 5th and be available for purchase during the holidays. As of right now, there's been no word on how much the PS5 will cost. 
          Lead System Architect Mark Cerny told Wired "we will be able to release [the system] at an SRP that will be appealing to gamers in light of its advanced feature set."-IGN. It is said that it will cost about $499 which is about #190,000. Here are the specifications of the PS5:
  • CPU: 8x Zen 2 Cores at 3.5GHz with SMT (variable frequency) vs 8x Jaguar Cores at 1.6Ghz on PS4.
  • GPU: 10.28 teraflops with 36 compute units at 2.23GHz (variable frequency) vs 1.84 teraflops and 18 compute units at 800MHz on PS4.
  • RAM: 16GB GDDR6/256-bit vs 8GB GDDR5 and 256-bit on PS4.
  • Internal Storage: Custom 825GB SSD vs a 500GB HDD on PS4.
  • Expandable Storage: NVMe SSD Slot
  • Optical Drive: 4K UHD Blu-ray Drive vs standard Blu-ray Drive in the PS4. 
      
                The Xbox Series X is the new Xbox gaming console that is due for release in late 2020. So far we know when the next-gen Xbox will release, its official name, some of the games we'll be playing, as well as information on backwards compatibility.
              Microsoft hasn't announced an official price for Xbox Series X yet--the console isn't even up for pre-order. Before trying to sell customers on the console, Microsoft wants consumers to have a chance to better understand what Xbox Series X can do...
